Today’s children of Hindu Heritage in North America are being educated in the schools according to western patterns of thought and culture.Hindu parents are discovering that it is an increasingly difficult and complicated task to convey their religious heritage to their children who, in most cases, feel that Hinduism is not North American. The children want to be, first and foremost, North American!
The purpose of Hindu Heritage Camp’s is quite simple:
To have Hindu-North American children experience their divinity and spirituality, as well as the beautiful Heritage of the oldest religion on Earth called Hinduism, and the extraordinary culture of India, the land of their ancestors. The classes and workshops are taught in a way that our North American children can easily relate to and understand. Devi Parvati is a bridge between Indian and Western cultures and can explain the most ancient wisdom in modern terms, perfect for the children.
